Windows Explorer doesn't give you too much information unless you specifically ask for it. Regardless of which one you pick, you can have the application up and running in no time, thanks to the small size of its setup package and the quick and simple installation procedure. Furthermore, you don't have to meet any special requirements, and you won't give up too many resources to run it.

1Tree's user interface is split into two panels, on which you can explore your files and folders in a tree structure, and view a list of the items you select. Each file and folder in the tree structure comes with its own checkbox, which gives you the possibility of having any number of items selected, even if they are on different partitions. What's more, the software shows the size of each file and folder you encounter, making it easy to figure out which item is the largest in a given location.

A toolbar presents a few options which allow you to perform a series of simple tasks, like renaming files and folders, running executables or media files, bringing up their properties windows, copying, moving or deleting and even permanently deleting them. You can carry out these actions on single items or in batch mode if you tick more than one checkbox.
